Here we are yet again at the end of the month and that means it is time for an update on my goal. If you are new here instead of doing one goal for the year I like to break it up into 12 smaller goals or themes. Each month has a new area to focus on and it helps keep me focused and excited about what I am working on. This month my goal was focused on exercise. You can read my entire plan for the month in detail here.
So here is the update: I haven’t done too badly with my goals this month. I was able to do walks at least 3 times a week 3 with the exception of one week. Most of the walks have been 45 minutes to an hour long as well. I was able to do 2 workout videos, one Slim in 6 and one Biggest Loser which were perfect for starting off nice and slow. Unfortunately, I was unable to the other weeks but it was a start! I also went hiking in the mountains once which was a huge challenge and honestly my body was not ready for the intensity of the trail… but I survived 🙂
I ended up seeing my chiropractor twice this month I’ve been having a lot of problems with my hips. The swelling in my leg makes me walk differently and then added to that are the increased hormones like relaxin that are still in my body and of course the strain from carrying baby etc. I am hoping to get back to seeing my physiotherapist come the new year to help sort my body out.
Overall though, I am still having good days and some bads days with my leg but the moving around more has really seemed to help. I definitely plan to continue going for regular walks as often as I can and to add in more workouts in at home as the weather gets colder. I would say that this months’ goals has been achieved and was a success!
