It is the beginning of a new month so that means it is time for a new goal. I don’t know if you noticed or not but I did not set a detailed goal last month. Life was so insanely busy and overwhelming that there was no way I was going to be able to learn a new skill. As much as I would l have loved to keep up with my plan for the year I just knew that I would be setting myself up for failure. The great thing about life though is that when something doesn’t work out as planned you can try again. And so here I am starting with a fresh month and a fresh goal.
If you want to see what my previous monthly goals have been you can read them here:
For November I will be focusing on exercise. This past year has done an absolute number on my body. As if pregnancy with serve vomiting wasn’t hard enough the DVT that I got and the side effects of the medication that I am on has damaged my body in a number of ways. My leg is still often very sore and swollen on a regular basis so I will be proceeding with quite a bit of caution this month.
My plan for the month is to do three 20 minute walks a week along with one very easy 30-minute exercise dvd a week. I am still deciding which dvds to start with- maybe a yoga one? Does anyone have a suggestion for me?
I have changed our homeschooling day around a bit in order to support the getting out and going for walks. Hopefully, involving my kids and it becoming routine will help to make sure it happens. I have also printed out a calendar in order to keep track of my exercsising. In the past this has helped me to be accountable as well as to see trends like certain days where exercising is more challenging than others.
On top of the above I will see the chiropractor once as well as a physiotherapist once this month to try and get my body into better shape to be able to handle some light exercise.
What is your goal for this month?
